Recipes : Chocolate Truffles & Tequila Chocolate Truffles

Heii.. today wanted to share my truffles recipe to you guys :)

Its my first time to do it, so, looks abit weird, but my dad n mom said it nice, and they pack few pieces to my uncles who volunteer his tequilla for me :) thanks uncle :*

Okay, so i was wanted to make truffles for my boyfriend's birthday gift. i was searching and searching for the recipe and it suggest to put alcohol into it. but i have no idea about alcohol thingy cos i dont drink (so good girl^.^). i went to a duty free shop and founded actually alchohol is so expensive -.-" so i went to my uncle house to get it for free :D:D:D

I have made two kind of truffles, which is traditional truffles with choco powder coating and tequila chocolate truffles.

It is pretty easy to make, but will make ur time to clean is, cos u will be kinda messy trust me. here is my recipe of my truffles !

Chocolate truffles recipe in grams

ganache: 

227 grams         Semi-Sweet chocolate, chop into small pieces

120 ml              Non diary whipping cream

2     tbs             Unsalted Butter

4     tbs             Tequila, alcohol

Coating:

Chocolate powder and melting chocolate

Step by step:

1. Finely chop chocolate into small pieces in order to melt it evenly, set aside in non stick bowl

2. Cook non diary whipping cream with butter with small fire until it start to bubble at the side and butter melted is enough. DO NOT cook it too long, we do not want to cook it.

3. Pour cream and butter into the chocolate and let it stay for a minute to melt the chocolate, and stir with spatula. It become ganaches :)

(optional)

4. devide the ganaches into two bowl. one is without alcohol, traditional truffles.

5. Pour tequila into the second bowl and mix well. (note: I put more alcohol as the tequila my uncle give is too long, thus i put more, this will cause the ganaches too soft. 2 tbs is recommended)

6. Cover ganached with tight plastic and refrigirated for at least 2 hours, best is overnight.

7. Ater the ganaches firm enough, scoop with spoon and roll is like a ball. After that refrigirate for 30 minutes before coating.

8. While waiting, prepared the cocoa powder and melt chocolate for coating.

Note :

- I choose melt chocolate for my tequila truffles as it too soft, but it give best effect cause the runny ganached wont melt away when set in room temperature.

- While melting the chocolate coating, make sure its not over cook with high temperature. Melt it with shimmering water with double boiler, and make sure the water remain hot or else the chocolate will get harden and its a waste

- If the melted chocolated harden or siezed, DO NOT throw away. Keep it for next baking ingredients like Cupcakes and so on.

- If ganached is failed. DO NOT throw away, could jam it to bread or cookies like Nuttela :)

Batam : Day 2

Okie, so this is about day 2 batam trip. hehehee

we wanted to go for karting, but it was raining :(

wanted to go for seafood, but my bro and dad dont wanna go :(

so, me and Casey boyfie go for steak :D:D:D

We went to Grill Factory Batam located at Nagoya. I can only say that its awesome, at Batam can eat so yummy steaks. I strongly recommend you guys go there, best if at night i guess.
The atmosphere just to warm and the staff are friendly. they can speak english too. hehehehe

So I took some of their menu here :D:D

They got AU, NZ and USA grade of beef

Batam : Day 1

HEII. HOW ARE YOU ???

As you guys know, or probably know ? haha. Me and my boyfriend plan out two days one night short trips at Batam.
Really really happy and feel blissful as already more than two weeks never see him. and he really try his best to the fullest to make me happy and to celebrate my post birthday which is 13 september. yeayy !!Happy Birthday to me again :D:D

Okay so, he came at the morning of 14 Sept, arrive my house, settle down, then we went to my relatives house to congrats him for getting married this Thursday :D:D.

After that we went to Nagoya Hills, yeahh. was planned to search for his slipper, but end up never buy. dunno why, haha !

then we going to WATCH MOVIE. oh no !!the movie just damn scary and the love story i dont really like, just too cruel man,, how can a lover become siblings ?can imagine ?super duper hurt. i forgot what the movie title is. haha. is monsterhunter that kind one. another thing shocked me is the drinks at the cinema. its damndamndamn expensive. oh no, its about $5 SingDollar. okay, $5 is not that killing, but in Rupiah its really killing. So better dont  buy their milkshake or ice blended, just stay on your coke. hahaha

After that we going to eat steak actually, but end up just eat pizza, cheese garlic bread and coke, cos its too expensive again.
since when i become too stingy ?no no, just not worth it i think. hahaha.

we also went to play arcade a while, and then the rest search for watch. but the watch also v v expensive -.-" idk why cost of living at Batam now so exp but the salary still remain low. thats not really good.

After that is the most interesting part !!!
we went to OCARINA !!

Planning : Trip to Batam 2d1n

So now khoo khoo here wanted to share about trip planning to Batam, the neighbour island of Singapore !!!

Okay, so... are you guys stucks where to go at Batam ?what to do ?? nahh !! here is the guide of Batam trip :)

actually not a guide also lah, my boyfriend is coming soon for my birthday celebration (happy and over excited after 2 weeks not seeing his face),

sooo................ I need to plan it out eventually :)

btw, the trip is 2 day 1 night Batam trip.

here we go ---->>>

1. Ferry Booking

The first thing you must do after long time planning with boyfriend or friends or colleagues is to book the ferry to Batam. There are some ferries I would like to recommend, which I usually travel with.

First, Batam fast ferry, as they have more destinations to Batam and more timing in case u guys missed ur ferry .

Destinations :

Batam Centre known as city of Batam.

Sekupang, if you would like to go to the beaches will be nearer or maybe wanna go to another island of Indonesia, there is the main harbour. 

Harbour Bay, known as nearer to many hotels for me, so quite convinience, but because harbourbay is still quite new, so there are small numbers of ferries operates one day.

Nongsapura, is the resort of batam itself. those beaches and gold mostly located there.

Second, Sindo Ferry, they known as Penguin Ferry before. Sindo ferry will be my second choice to sit. Sindo ferry timing and destination more and less are the same. Just if u wanna catch the time, when Batam Fast couldnt give,Sindo will be the choice lah i think.

Destinations :

Batam Cente

Sekupang

Waterfront, is another resort place well known as Harris Resort. got beaches, golf and so on too.

Tanjung Balai, is another island which i never go before. ahahs.

Tanjung Pinang, is an Island next to Batam, where Bintan is located, so if you wanna travel to Bintan, you could get on this ferry, hahas !!

So..... you guys going to book the ferry and timing via the link above to prevent crowded and missed the trip. be careful, i think this is important. hahahaha...

2. Hotel Booking

Okay next is to book your hotel in Batam, Batam is not a safe city. Booking hotel might be important to us because u may not like end up going home late and face those gangster halfway right ?

I recommend
"Gideon", It is new hotel in front of BCS mall, and its pretty cheap and comfortable.

"I hotel", cos its just beside shopping mall

"GoldenView hotel", cos it near seafood and karting and so on

"Planet Holiday", I think quite central

"Pasific hotel", just beside harbourbay

"Swiss-belhotel" v high class

ahh... i never stay hotel before except pasific ages before, haha, so you guys might go google it out :):)

3. Things to bring

I strongly recommend you guys to bring anti mosquito spray to go batam. hahaha. then of course clothes, luggage and so on.

Clothes, you guys can wear simple and relax clothes, no skirt if you guys feel not very safe. but skirt still okay for me :)

Money, not too much Singapore Dollar, just bring "just enough" money. Estimate $100 to $300 per person for 2d1n i guess. and change to Rupiah at Batam itself, best is inside shopping mall for better rates :)
bag, small relax bag to bring during outing is enough.

4. Place to go

soooooo, place to go visit and go at Batam....................

1. Nagoya hills mall,

food :

restroom cafe, all scenery like a toilet even the plates, bowl and cups are restroom based.

caffein cafe, quite atas coffee shop and dessert

A & W, they have A&W if you guys miss it out.

Citra pempek, most famous are their pempek(fishcake) and nasi kuning (yellow rice)

Pizza Hut, I love Batam pizza, very very cheap and tasty :)

KFC, they marinate better than Singapore

Coffee Luwak, known as best coffee from Indonesia ^^

and so on..............

Leisure :

Massage,

they have alot massage place to go. one of the place i visited the most is Sawadika located level 4.

Cinema,

try it out, but their substitue is in Bahasa. hahahaa

Singing,

nagoya hills known as singing place for youngsters here, most famous is Inul Vista located outside nagoya hills mall, but still within nagoya hills.

2. Batam City Square (BCS) mall,

food:

Citra pempek, fish cake and nasi kuning

Nyonya, their noodles are superb :D

I only went to this two places, hahaha. can search out !

Leisure :

Arcade, Cinema and Singing
3. Nagoya City Walk

food:

Citra pempek, fish cake and nasi kuning
Ayam Bakar Taliwang, they got the super spicy chicken on the planet
Mr. Pancake, their pancake very nice
Japan Batagor, fish cake with peanut sauce
others food but I never tried

Leisure :
Mini Theme Park, your kids paradise

4. Golden Prawn

they known as best at thier seafood, very cheap at range $50 for 3-4 person with full table of foods.

5. Golden City

they are just behind Golden Prawn, they have karting and alot alot adventour games to play like sentosa mega zip and of course spa and massage too. ahh ! go and visit their miniature house, admission free of charge, hahaha !!

6. Barelang

barelang is a place with alot island connected with the bridges. they are place to visit too.

food : they have fresh seafood ever as their seafood still swimming in the seas. haha. go for seafood bridge no 1.

leisure :

they have fishing by renting the boat to the middle of the sea.

they have alot places to visit like vietnam village, left from WW2.

you can see how they plant dragonfruit and so on.

7. Ocarina

Ocarina is a park to go from the city, it is located at Batam centre. they have beaches, cycling and so on

there are many places out there by itself. like nice restaurant and so on for you to travel. do comment for anything unclear :D:D

P.S. Place to go all near the city and not far away like Harris resort or Nongsa. Except Barelang might take at least one day or at least half day. #2d1n plan.
(be careful for robbery case) (do ask for cheaper price everytime shops)

if you guys wanna get trustworthy taxi at batam, feel free to call Uncle Yin Nu +62 812 7799 868 (speak mandarin). can book one full days too. but please call earlier to book as he is quite a busy man. hahas !:)

Actually my birthday was 2 days ago. and here keep raining everyday which causes my Inet run sooooooo... slow and cant upload pictures. >,< sad sad. hmm, over all my birthday just so so... growing old again. haha. nothing much really happen during that day, the most blissful thing this year is I celebrate my birthday with my mom and brothy in my own house. hahhaa !! feel AWESOME !!!

Seriously, after living alone outside, i mean not really solo -alone. just living without parents arround me, i think alrd 10 years.. hmmm, or 9 years ??opps !! just get messed. i think 9 years. ahahhaa. but im still not growing old enuf, im still a mommy girl who need mom's hug always !!especially when i feel unwell.
